1) Who we are

Linguara Media Inc. (“Linguara”, “we”, “us”) operates the PhraseDaily website, emails, and related pages hosted on Systeme.io (the “Services”).

2) Scope

This policy covers visitors to phrasedaily.com, email subscribers, and anyone who contacts us or sends exercise responses. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.

3) What we collect

Information you provide

• Email address, name (if given), preferred content tags (Work/Travel/Social)

• Messages you send (e.g., exercise responses), testimonials/consent

• Opt-in/opt-out timestamps and preference settings

Collected automatically

• IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location (city/country)

• Cookies or similar tech for analytics, A/B testing, and preferences (see §10)

From third parties

• Email delivery and landing-page providers (open/click events)

• Social platforms if you interact with our posts/ads

4) How we use information (purposes)

• Provide the Services: send daily emails; host content and audio

• Personalize: segment by interest (Work/Travel/Social)

• Communicate: respond to messages and support requests

• Improve & secure: analytics, debugging, preventing abuse

• Marketing with consent (CASL): newsletters, updates, occasional affiliate/sponsor offers

• Legal/compliance: records required by law and to handle complaints

Legal bases

• PIPA (BC): consent for reasonable purposes; you may withdraw anytime.

• GDPR (EEA/UK visitors): consent (emails/marketing), contract (delivering requested content), legitimate interests (security/basic analytics).

5) Sharing & service providers

We don’t sell personal information. We use contracted processors who handle data for us:

• Systeme.io (pages, email delivery, basic analytics)

• Zoho Mail (business email)

• GoDaddy (domain/DNS)

• Google Analytics 4

• Retargeting pixels (currently not active; if activated later, this policy will be updated)

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in a business transaction with safeguards.

6) International transfers

Data may be stored or processed in Canada, the U.S., the EU, or other regions by our providers. We use contractual safeguards so protection is comparable to Canadian standards.

7) Retention

• Subscription data: while subscribed + up to 24 months after unsubscribe (suppression/audit)

• Support emails/user content: up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete earlier

• Analytics: per the provider’s retention settings

8) Your rights

PIPA: request access/correction; withdraw consent at any time.
GDPR (where applicable): access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object; complain to a local authority.

9) Email & CASL

We send commercial electronic messages only with express consent (or recognized implied consent) and include identification and a working unsubscribe link that functions within 10 business days.

10) Cookies & tracking

• Necessary (security, load balancing)

• Analytics (aggregate usage)

• Marketing (retargeting) — currently off

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (TLS encryption, access controls, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure.

12) Children

Services are for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

13) Third-party links

Links to third-party sites are governed by their policies and terms.

14) Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or by email.
